An original mixed media piece titled Flag with Heart by well-listed Peter Max (1937- ). The work is composed of acrylic paint over a lithograph. Heavily embellished, the work depicts an abstract American flag surrounded by expressive doodles. The work includes Max’s painted signature to the upper right corner, seen to one of the stripes. The work is gallery matted and framed under conservation glass and signed in the top white stripe of the flag. A hanging wire is attached to the verso. Peter Max is a German-born American illustrator and graphic artist known for his vibrant color palettes and use of psychedelic shapes.
