A complete set of fine silver $50 space exploration proof coins with an informational binder. This complete twenty four piece set was issued in 1989 by the Republic of the Marshall Islands, in a mintage of just 50,000. Each coin is comprised of 0.999 fine silver, and bears a depiction of a milestone in space exploration to the obverse, such as the first man in space, the first landing on mars, and the first untethered space walk, with the national seal of the Marshall Islands to the reverse. The coins are each encased and presented in a wooden display box, with a red velvet and cream tone cloth interior. A binder containing a page of information for each coin is also included.
