An abstract sculpture Little Venuses by Guido Peter Brink. The piece features an abstract nickel geometric sculpture set in a black marble base. Brink (1913-2002) is a German artist born in Dusseldorf, Germany. He attended the State Academy of Fine Arts in Dusseldolf before immigrating to New York City after World War II. Brink moved to Milwaukee to pursue a career in stained glass work and then taught at the Layton School of Art. In 1974 he founded the Milwaukee School of the Arts. Brink was inspired by artists such as Paul Klee and his works can be found in both public and private collections throughout the world.
