Item Details

A Colonial style writing desk. This desk features a horizontally elongated octagonal top with a rounded beveled edge, and a routed rectangular inner frame accent. The front of the apron contains a long center drawer flanked on each side by smaller drawers. The center drawer has a brass tone shield cover on the keyhole, and features two ovular brass tone handle pulls with gadrooned borders in relief. The faces of the drawers have a beveled edge. The desk stands on four square legs with carved ribbing accents. The legs are reinforced with a stretcher frame across the back and sides.
