An antique sewing machine in an oak cabinet, manufactured by Free Sewing Machine Co.. This cast iron sewing machine is decoratively painted on the body and plate and folds into a square oak cabinet. inside the cabinet are compartments for sewing accessories, an iron foot pedal and rests on wheels. The machine is marked ‘The Free No. 5 – Free Sewing Machine Co. Rockford, Ill.’ and has patent dates between 1902-1919 engraved on the needle plate.
