Alfred Meakin "Birds of America" Porcelain Plate Set of Three
Item Details
A set of Alfred Meakin ‘Birds of America’ porcelain plates. These Audubon Society plates include number 62 Columba migratoria (passenger pigeon), number 168 Muscivora tyrannus (fork-tailed flycatcher), and number 367 Columba fasciata (band-tailed pigeon). All are marked on the bottom with the birds they depict as well as ‘Alfred Meakin’ and Endorsed by the Audubon society, reproduced from the elephant folio edition of Audubon’s Birds of America.
