19th Century Italian Oil on Canvas Landscape with Figures
Item Details
A nineteenth century Italian oil on canvas painting. This small painting depicts a overgrown Romanesque ruin, within a landscape with a group of three figures at the center foreground, and a figure in the lower left watching from behind a large boulder. No discernible signature. It is presented in a gold toned wooden frame with an inner border of carved beading, and an ornate exterior border of pierced scrolling acanthus leaves.

- cracking evident on painting surface.
- small tear at top of boulder bottom left.
