A hand-stitched Chinese embroidery on silk. Two embroidered chickens hunt for food with their four babies in this handmade piece. Massive peony blooms are seen in the background, with patchy areas of grass that have been embroidered as well. The backing silk has been colored to differentiate the sky from the hillside, adding blue tones to this work. Unsigned, this piece is presented in a wood frame with a natural finish and hanging wire present to verso.

- light damage present to frame and light discoloration present to fabric throughout.
