Chinese Watercolor Painting on Silk
Item Details
An original contemporary Chinese watercolor painting on silk. The painting features a woman and a young child leaning down to view a bright water lily. The woman has a bright halo around her head and is possibly meant to represent Guanyin, the Buddhist protector of mothers and children. The painting is completed on a bright white silken backing. An inscription in Chinese is painted to the upper right. The piece is double-matted in red and black and is presented behind glass in a composite frame with black and bronze finishes. A wire is attached to the verso for hanging.
