Antique Qing Dynasty Chinese Embroidery

Item Details

An antique framed Chinese embroidery on silk from the Qing dynasty, the last imperial dynasty of China ruling from 1644 to 1912. The embroidery is completed on a cream tone silken backing, and depicts a display of soft floral arrangements created in pastel tones of pink, green, and blue that pop from the shining golden backing. The piece is not marked by the artist. It is matted in black floral silk and is presented behind non-glare glass in a wooden frame with black and gold finishes. A hanging wire is attached to the verso.

- to fair. Yellowing and accretion across, consistent with age.
