Copper and Brass Pails
Item Details
A grouping of copper and brass pails. The copper pail dates to the nineteenth century having evidence of dovetail construction at side seam with a rolled rim and copper rivets securing brass handle brackets to sides. The handle is made of hand forged iron with tapered loop ends. Also includes a smaller brass pail with slightly rounded base and riveted side mounts. Both items are unmarked.
Condition
- there are dents and pitting to copper pail with corrosion to seam at base. Some areas of copper loss at rim with tearing at one handle. Handles are loose at rivets on brass pail.
