"Stonebridge" Folding Lantern

Item Details

Folding candle lantern made of tin and steel. It is 10 inches high and 5 inches wide. Windows on three sides are made of very thin sheets of the transparent stone called mica. Inside at the bottom there is a fixture for holding a candle, and the bottom panel is perforated for ventilation. The lantern has a peaked lid with handle at top for carrying. On either side of lid, printed in raised letters is: ‘STONEBRIDGE / FOLDING LANTERN / PAT’D / NOV. 20, 1906 JUNE 9, 1908 / C.H. STONEBRIDGE M’F’G CO./ N.Y.C. / MADE IN / U.S.A.’
