A pairing Native American pottery. The pair includes a small hand-painted vase, made of earthenware, and painted white, with brown, black, and turquoise geometric patterns to the sides. It is marked ‘Mitaya Jemez’ in black to the underside. Also included is a figural candle holder. The hand-painted candle holder is made of a red earthenware clay, with a face to the side, and small figures to the sides and above, with a miniature three-dimensional adobe house. The top of the piece has three round holes for candles. No maker’s marks present.
