Herend "Chinese Bouquet" Candle Holder

A Herend porcelain candle holder in the ‘Chinese Bouquet’ pattern, in rust. The candle holder is convertible and features a removable top section that holds three candles, to reveal a single holder beneath. The piece is hand painted and marked to bottom as Herend. Herend opened in Hungary 1826 as a earthenware pottery manufacturing factory. In 1839, the company began making hand painted porcelain. The popularity of this china quickly grew, and it became a favorite of many royal courts.
