An original oil on canvas painting by well-regarded Cincinnati painter Roland Huston (1936 – 2005). The painting depicts a wide rural landscape with carefully crafted patches of color beautifully portraying light as it splashes across waving grasses. The painting is signed to the lower left. It is unframed, awaiting your choice of presentation. Huston was revered as both an academician and painter. He was a teacher from 1987 until 2005 and also famously studied under Paul Chidlaw at the Cincinnati Art Academy. The artist’s relationship with his teacher continued far beyond their years at the Art Academy, however. He passed away in 2005 at the age of 69 and is remembered by many as a beloved teacher, artist and friend.
