Crystal Wedding Bowl
Item Details
A Victorian glass wedding bowl or candy dish. The lidded dish was known in the Victorian Era as a wedding bowl or “bride’s basket.” Wedding bowls were popular with the Victorian era and again in the 1960s and ’70s as an expensive and prized wedding gift, partially because the lids could be inverted and placed inside the basin to create a larger and more impressive table display. The bowl sits on tall pedestal base and is unmarked, with a round base.
