An antique Ansonia mantel clock. The three-part cast iron clock is made up of a base on which a Greek Muse and clock case rest. The muse of drama, Melpomene, sits on a bench with an unfurled scroll in her hands on which the name of playwrights is written, at her her rests a head. The clock is housed in a Rocco style case, which is decorated with stylized scrollwork. The clock has a white enameled face with Roman Numerals around the face. The clock has its key, and winds and ticks.
