Antique Empire Sideboard

An antique Empire sideboard. The 1850’s mahogany sideboard features three drawers over three doors. The two door on the end have slip match mahogany crotch mahogany veneer and the center drawer is bowed. One the inside of the doors the hand did plain work is noticeable and the drawers have hand made dovetails. The backsplash on the sideboard is made of three sections of bookmatched crotch mahogany veneer. The piece rests on lion eagle claw feet.

Condition

Some of the veneer is missing on the center door and drawer.
