A hand-wrought sterling silver flatware set. This forty-eight piece set includes eight dinner knives, eight dinner forks, eight salad forks, eight tablespoons, seven demitasse spoon, eight butter knives, an oyster fork, and a pierced server. These are set into a red caddy with a silver cloth backing. The handles of all pieces are sterling silver wrought by hand. The knives have stainless steel blades. Along their undersides is a stamp for Spaulding & Company. Approximate weight of the sterling, excluding the knives with stainless blades, in this lot is 42.985 ozt.
