A Chippendale style mahogany slant-front secretary is by Jasper Cabinet Company. The secretary features a divided arched pediment with turned finial at crown over double glass doors with applied tracery. Behind the glass doors are two adjustable glass shelves with a light top above. The slant-front desk top opens to reveal fixed pigeon hole cubbies with a single felt lined drawer. The cabinet base has three serpentine front drawers with dovetail joinery. The apron is serpentine and rests on carved open bracket feet. The hardware is solid brass with the drawer pulls being Chippendale style bail pulls. This piece is signed with a Jasper Cabinet Company brass tag to the top drawer.
