Handwoven Wool Tabriz Area Rug
Item Details
A large handwoven Tabriz area rug. A label on the reverse has a signature. It features a stylized floral _herati_design in large scale palmettes, worked across the field in shades of salmon, rose, ruby, black, brown, and tan. There are two narrow guard borders in darker brown with scrolling flowers worked in the same colors as the field. The main border employs stylized floral motifs combined with foliage. It has a natural warp fringe to either end.
