Assortment of Silver Plate Dishes
Item Details
An assortment of five silver plate dishes including three footed bowls and two shallow goblets. One bowl is decorated with an etching of a ship and with embossed floral and faunal patterns; it is marked to the underside with the Middletown Plate Co. hallmark. Another bowl is embossed with floral decoration and marked on the underside with two lions’ heads flanking a crest. The third bowl has a gold tone interior and two lions’ heads depicted in relief on either side with handles proceeding from their jaws; the base is marked with the Corbell & Co. hallmark and a decal reading ‘Do not use silver polish/Tarnish protected/Clean only with soft damp cloth.’ The bases of the two goblets are marked ‘De Uberti Italy.’
