A vintage offset lithograph Soviet propaganda poster published in Moscow in 1973, titled in Russian, translated Winners of the Glory!. The poster imagery is an Art Deco-influenced illustration by V. Sachkov, depicting a beautiful woman with her head and bust draped in a red scarf. With a slight smile, she holds up a victorious arm in front of a floating branch of laurel leaves. An image of soldiers carrying spears draped with banners, trampling the Nazi wreckage occupies the backdrop. The poster commemorates the Victory Day on May 9, 1945 (victory of the Soviet Union over Nazi Germany in the Great Patriotic War). The poster was printed in an edition of 150,000. Publishing information printed along bottom edge. This piece is not framed.
