Willie Jinks Original Outsider Art

Item Details

A signed ink drawing on paper by listed Georgian folk artist Willie Jinks (1921 -). The drawing depicts two figures dancing, one of whom appears to have the head of a chicken. Several illegible words are written across the background, all in loose, childlike strokes of marker. The drawing is signed to the lower edge and is dated within the piece’s text. It is matted in black and presented behind glass in a black composite frame with a hanging wire. Following Jinks’ retirement from the Atlanta sanitation department, Jinks began creating folk art on various found materials that he had collected throughout his working years. More information about the artist can be found under Additional Information.
