Item Details

A pair of vintage watercolor landscape paintings on paper. The first painting is by Estelle Coniff and is a demonstration painting of a girl in a country landscape walking down a path with a bucket in her hand and houses to either side and in the background. It is signed to lower right. Estelle Coniff (1912-2000) was a Yale graduate and also attended the School for the Chicago Art Institute. She was a member of the Hartford Academy of Fine Art, Connecticut Watercolor Society, and the Connecticut Women Artists and known for her portraits and murals. She was also a teacher for over fifty years at the West Hartford Art League. Also included in this lot is a painting in a similar style and color scheme of a country lane with three buildings and mountains to background. Both paintings are presented in wood frames and under glass.
