Silverplated Serving Basket

A silver-plated serving basket. The late nineteenth or early twentieth-century footed silver-plated basket has a round base with egg-and-dart trim, topped by a round dish with an ornate edge, and engraved designs and repousse to the interior, with an oval in the bottom center that depicts a cluster of fruit and flowers. The dish is topped with an ornate handle with beading details. The dish is marked to the underside, however it has been partially obscured by solder.

Condition

Vintage, used condition; wear, tarnish throughout.
