World War II Military Collection

Item Details

A World War II military collection. The collection includes a metal footlocker trunk with buckle type clasps to the front. The inside has a removable paper-covered wooden box and a storage area below. The trunk contains a variety of World War II military gear and memorabilia. There are several pressed and folded khaki button-up uniform shirts (size 15.5 X33) a pair of black leather lace-up duty boots (marked ‘EJ’ to the sole; size is marked to the inside, but illegible due to wear), a leather duty belt with a brass buckle (in very good condition), wool sweaters, hats, pants, socks, and more. There is also a military-issue dagger with a gray plastic handle (marked ‘Anderson’) that comes with a leather sheath (marked with the previous owner’s name (and stamped ‘5 30/44’), a pair of pilot’s flight goggles, two ration books (marked ‘No. 2’), a military ammunition box, and a poster featuring quotes and stories about General Douglas MacArthur. Please note, this heavy item is located in a basement and buyer will need to carry up a flight of steps.
