Antique Globe-Wernicke Barrister's Bookcase

An antique Globe-Wernicke barrister’s bookcase. This case’s overall make is of a dark oak with original glass and brass trim still intact. Barrister’s doors open with small wooden knobs and slid into the base above with all still functional. Company logo and information on the product appear in the backs of four of the five shelves, the top two stating The Globe-Wernicke Company, Cincinnati Ohio with the patented size of D-10.25 and grade of 299 out of 300. Bottom two drawers show this as an Elastic Bookcase patented in various countries during the 1900s, and the piece itself being from Grand Rapids, Michigan.
