Vintage Framed Art Featuring Women and Children
Item Details
A collection of vintage framed art, featuring women and children. The collection includes a variety of early twentieth-century prints. A pair of framed prints, dated (faintly) 1897, depict female cupids, presented under glass in dark brown wood frames (hangers on back). A framed lithograph print depicts a little girl praying with a prayer below, in a gilded wood frame under glass (no hanger). There is a lithograph print of a little girl on a bench, looking at a bird, presented under glass in a green and gold textured wood frame (7.5 × 9.5; with wire hanger on back), and a smaller, nearly identical print, but slightly different, presented in a brown and gilded wood frame, under glass (frame measures 13.5 × 17.5 inches). A circa 1920 chromolithograph print depicts a young woman facing left, which is pasted to an ornate, gilded cardboard frame. The frame is completely made of cardboard with a raised and embossed texture, with dark red and dark blue-green details. To the back of the cardboard frame is a string for hanging (not signed). A chromolithograph print depicts an elderly gentleman with a young girl at a piano. The print is embossed with a faux mat, and is presented under glass in a dark brown wood frame with a hanging wire on back (not marked). There is an antique print (very faded) of a young couple sitting in front of a fireplace, which is marked near the bottom right edge, ‘Copley Print copyright 1903 by Crams & Cameron’. It is presented under glass in an ornate, dark wood frame with a wide inner wood ‘mat’, edged in gold.
