A set of four sentimental framed vintage prints. The set includes a variety of early twentieth-century prints, with poems or sentimental sayings. 4 framed prints with sayings, poems, messages. One, titled ’Life’s Mirror’ (circa 1930s) features a blue background, colorful graphics and gold details, depicting a king and his subject, with a poem by Madeline S. Bridges. It is presented under glass in a red-brown and gold wood frame. A chromolithograph titled ‘Father’, printed by Reinthal & Mewman, N.Y., is numbered ‘No. 141’, and is presented under glass in a narrow, brown wood frame. There is a wood plaque, featuring the saying, ‘He who has a thousand friends has not one to spare’ is stamped on a sheet of leather, which is glued to the solid oak board. The plaque has a hanging hole on the verso (no maker’s marks). A print, in a narrow, black wood frame with navy blue trim and raised roses to the four corners, is titled ‘Out Where the West Begins’ by Arthur Chapman (circa 1920s or ‘30s), and is marked ’Pub. by Close Graham & Sculy, Inc., N.Y.’, and ‘[copyright symbol] Houghton Mifflin Co.’ to the lower right corner. There is glass in the frame, and a hanging wire to the back.
