Ruffed Grouse Framed Giclee Print After Richard Sloan
Item Details
A giclee print after Richard Sloan. This reproduction print of Richard Sloan’s Ruffed Grouse features a pair of ruffed grouses below a stand of Sycamore trees with budding branches on a plain white background. The male bird stands proudly atop a fallen sycamore branch, in a mating dance ritual with his tail in full display, chest ruffled, and wings pointed downward. The female bird stands below, seeming unimpressed thus far with the male’s ritual. Under the birds is a label reading ‘Ruffed Grouse – Bonasa Umbrellus.’ The print is signed in plate, and marked ‘From the Private Collection of Mr. J.L. Wade’ in the bottom left, ‘Copyright 1971 by J.L. Wade’ on the bottom right, ‘Plate No. XII.’ on the top left, and ‘Print Reg. No. 1214’ on the top right. The print also includes a paper taped on the back with info about the printing and the art. The piece is presented in a beveled mahogany colored frame with a white canvas accent. The print comes ready to hang with wire hardware on back.
