An original mixed media collage by listed artist Cedric Chang, dated 1965 and titled Ancient Roma. Created with strips of painted newspaper, paint, and sand, Chang creates the ancient city of Rome, each building with quintessential white columns and arched doorways. Bold yellows are paired with deep, moody tones of blue, green, and gray to create a visually dynamic piece of work. Presented in a thin, gold frame, this work is dated 1965 to lower right, and is signed, titled, and dated to verso in ink. Hanging wire present to verso.
