Pair of Vintage Bus Cards
Item Details
A pair of vintage halftone on paperboard printed bus cards. These advertisements were created to slide into pockets in the interior of buses and other public transportation models. The first is an advertisement for The Red Cross created by the Advertising Council. It depicts several soldiers helping a fallen man, and solicits fund to send overseas to troops in need. The second advertisement was created by both the Advertising Council and the Department of Labor. It depicts a row of graduates staring towards the viewer, and promotes receiving education for the sake of joining the working ranks of America. The bus cards are both presented without framing, awaiting your choice of presentation.
Condition
- both prints have discoloration and ripping to edges, though it is significantly worse on the “Red Cross” card.
