Original Acrylic on Paper Attributed to Melissa Frey "Trailsmen"

An original acrylic on paper accredited to artist Melissa Frey, titled Trailsmen. This abstract work uses wide, deliberate brush strokes to create the vibrant red background and the large blue and pink nebulous shapes within. Using sand mixed with red paint for texture, Frey shapes a bovine figure, with a trail leading from the mouth of the animal to its rear, scribbled in the middle to illustrate the inner workings of the cow. A black patch of similar texture is seen to the upper left of the work, as well. Unsigned, this painting is mounted beneath a layer of white mat and presented behind glass. Housed in a silver frame with eye hooks for hanging wire present to verso.
