A vintage patchwork quilt collection. The collection includes four cotton quilts, pieced from a variety of printed and solid-colored fabrics, date to approximately the 1930s or ’40s, and are hand-pieced and hand-stitched. A quilt with a fan pattern measures approximately 60 inches x 72 inches. A quilt with a geometric basket pattern measures approximately 62 inches x 76 inches. A quilt with geometric flowers measures approximately 74 inches by 82 inches. A yellow and white crib quilt, patterned with checkerboard blocks, is approximately 41 inches by 54 inches. Also included is a lovely, nineteenth-century applique quilt block, which is hand-stitched and comes with a handwritten history (approximately 17.5 inches square).
Condition
Wear, discoloration, consistent with vintage age and normal use.
