OriginalVintage 1941 World War II Bonds Poster

Item Details

A vintage offset lithograph poster print published in 1941 by the United States Government Printing Office, promoting the purchasing of war bonds by the American people during World War II. The Treasury Department financed the war through the sale of bonds and stamps to the public. War bond posters called upon all citizens to share in ‘ownership’ of the war. This poster uses black-and-white imagery of a patriotic cuffed hand, likely Uncle Sam’s, shaking the hand of another, in front of silhouettes of an industrial plant with smoking towers. This poster is not framed, awaiting your choice of presentation.
