Original Vintage World War II Production Poster "He's a Fighting Fool..."

Item Details

A vintage offset lithograph War Production Board poster published in 1942 by the United States Government Printing Office in Washington, D. C., after a red conté drawing by artist Noxon, signed in plate near lower center. The image depicts a helmeted combat soldier leaning forward into the pictorial space, with his M1 with bayonet mounted at the ready. Identification of the artist has eluded references. War production posters such as this one brought the urgency of the war onto the factory floor. Frequently displayed on bulletin boards, near time clocks, on factory walls, and in break rooms, posters such as this one served as constant reminders of the war and the need to increase production. This poster is not framed.
