Chinese Hanging Lantern
Item Details
A Chinese hanging lantern. The dragon finials around the top of the lantern, and phoenix finials around the bottom. Together these two mythical beasts represent the complementary forces of yang and yin_. Tassels featuring the ‘double happiness’ symbol 囍 (_shuangxi) hang from the dragon finials. The panels of the lantern feature Chinese inscriptions and printed images of beautiful women. The lantern also features symbols of longevity and good fortune.
