An original acrylic on canvas painting by 20th century Cincinnati artist Irene Bryant, titled Twilight’s Journey Into the Land of Dreams. The painting depicts an abstract composition made of carefully selected patches of bright colors. The geometric shapes are painted with a loose, painterly quality, aside from a single pale blue rectangle that is painted with sharp, precise edges in the center of the piece. The painting is presented in a composite frame with mahogany wood veneer. The painting is signed to the verso, and a small tag gives the artist’s name and piece’s title. Bryant displayed her work at prominent Cincinnati institutions, including the Cincinnati Art Museum the Weston Art Gallery.

Condition

- very light scratching on frame. A few very small scratches mark the painting. A .5" rip can be seen to the very top center of canvas.
