Antique Cast Iron Wall-Mounted Mailbox

Item Details

A circa early 20th century wall-mounted cast iron mailbox. It is marked ‘Standard No. 2 Mailbox’ to the hinged lid, and features a low relief cast motif of scrolled leaves to the body. The lid has a hinged cover over a mail slot at the top, and a loop to secure the main lid with a lock (not included) if desired. A floral medallion to the lower body swings aside to reveal if the box is empty or full without opening the lid.
