Chinese Chest on Stand
Item Details
A Chinese chest on stand. This chest and stand is lacquered in black with red trim and accents. The ornately carved latch and matching hardware are brass toned with a antique finish. The front of the chest features the characters 福 (fu) meaning ‘good fortune’ and 寿 (shou) meaning longevity. The inside of the chest is lined with pages from Chinese books.
Condition
- There is some discoloration on inner lining of chest as well as slight paint chipping on chest and stand. Over all consistent with age and use.
