A signed original oil on canvas painting by Meyer. A picturesque view of the countryside near Munich, Germany replete with peaceful lake and distant mountains is captured in this highly detailed oil landscape painting. Signed ‘Meyer Muenchen’ to the lower right, the painting is displayed in a gold tone and black wooden frame with hanging hardware to the verso. A German artist born in 1890, Meyer studied art is Munich and Vienna and was known for his paintings that depicted the farms and landscapes located in Bavaria.
Condition
Signs of wear. There is a small tear in the canvas near the center. Craquelure present.
