Item Details
A pair of Asian Buddha figurines. The first figure is a Thai style figure of Gautama Buddha, depicted with his robes covering one shoulder and arm. He is seated in meditation upon a lotus base in the lotus position and with his left hand, palm upright in his lap, and his right hand touching the earth in the bhūmisparśa mudrā, or ‘earth witness’ mudra. The second figure is an Japanese style figure of Gautama Buddha with robes draped around both shoulders and his chest exposed. He is seated in the lotus position with his hands in the Dhyāna Mudrā, the gesture of mediation. These figures have a charcoal patina with rusty accents. Base bottoms have protective pads adhered to them.
