An antique carved wood Buddha statue. Carved from a block of wood, this figure of Gautama Buddha is painted in gold and red. He is seated in meditation in the lotus position and with his left hand, palm upright in his lap, and his right hand touching the earth in the bhūmisparśa mudrā, or ‘earth witness’ mudra. This piece is unmarked.
