Antique Chinese Carved Wall Plaque

Item Details

A Chinese carved wall plaque. The square three dimensional carving depicts one man approaching a temple and two men on the second level engaged in conversation. The wood carving has been painted red with gold toned details. The backside of the carving is natural wood, stamped twice with Chinese symbols, with a label in English which reads ‘Temple Carving/Ching Dynasty’ affixed to the lower left corner.

Condition

- wood has cracks in it, large piece of wood missing from one side, gold paint has worn off in places
