An original winter landscape in oil on stretched canvas by well-listed artist Robert Curry (Boston, 1872-1945). The early 20th century painting illustrates, in bold expressive brush strokes, a snow-capped mountain in the distance with an icy stream dissecting the composition. The painting is signed in the lower left corner and has been housed in a simple wooden frame.
Robert Curry was born in Boston, Massachusettes (1872) and attended Harvard Law Law School before he choose a path that led to painting rather than law. Condition
The painting has been professionally repaired and relined, a slight seam is barely discernible down the center.
