A original 19th century oil painting by listed artist, Lionel-Noel Royer (French, 1852 – 1926). This is a neoclassical depiction of a nude woman frolicking with doves. To the background is a Roman temple, with artist signature to the lower left. Please read condition and dimensions carefully. A link has been provided for more information on the artist. Royer is most famous for painting scenes from the life of Joan of Arc in the Basilica of Bos-Chenu in Domremy.

Condition

-While the main image is intact, there is significant paint loss, and crackling. This piece was in her studio, but never restored.
