1778 Spanish Colonial Silver 'Picayune' Coin
Item Details
A 1778 Spanish 1/2 real (.903 silver) ‘picayune’ coin minted in Mexico City. The obverse features a side profile of Carolus III, with reeded edge to the coin, and the reverse features a royal crown with banner-wrapped column and royal shield. The coin is accompanied by a certificate of authenticity with historic references and coin specifications.
