A circa 1980s Lyric Opera House cloak for the Italian opera I Capuleti e i Montecchi. This full length crimson damask cloak features white and silver tone embellishments, golden trim, and buttons down the front. This unique gown was purchased at the Chicago Lyric Opera (only sale in a half century). A tag to the interior reads, ‘Cerratelli Firenze, Parte: Coro Capuleti, Nome: Jeffrey Taylor,’ noting the opera the gown was worn in and by which character. Another tag marks the cloak for the Chicago Lyric Opera.
