Five Regency Style Mahogany Veneer Dining Chairs
Item Details
A group of five mahogany Regency style dining chairs. Each chair features a rolled crest rail and a lyre shaped splat, with saber legs having routed detail with chip-carved laurel pattern to fronts. The armchair offers pronounced open scroll arms. Chairs are upholstered in a woven floral tapestry with a deep burgundy field. Retains retailer label ’Hathaway’s’ of New York.
Condition
- wear to finish along edges; some nicks and scratches; veneer loss to arm of one chair.
- the lyre on three of the chairs has a crack on the lower scroll.
- cushions may need new padding.
